The Gen magazine was published by Harry Stanley just after the war. The first issue came out in December 1945. The magazine was published for 26 years with 303 issues covering a total of 8,685 pages. Lewis Ganson, one of the greatest magical writers ever, was the editor until 1971.
CONTENTS:
RATHER ODD (Frank Potts): A selected card turns out to be the only red-backed card in a blue deck and then the back changes back to blue!
WHICH POCKET, SIR (Archie Byford): The Aces are shuffled with other cards and four packets are placed into different pockets in a spectators jacket. The four Aces appear in a single packet!
SNIPPO (Douglas Francis): You openly cut a strip of newspaper and then you restore it. Everything can be examined!
A TURN UP FOR THE DECK (Zaharee): A card is selected and you produce the wrong card. This card changes visibly into the selection!
FOUR-ACE COINCIDENCE (Joe Stuthard): Two decks of cards, you first have a single coincidence and then you produce the eight Aces!
TWENTIETH-CENTURY ROPE (Peter Warlock): You have a piece of rope and you cut the rope into two. A silk is vanished and it reappears tied between the two ropes!
IT’S A MIRACLE (Terry): Two decks of cards, a spectator selects one card from one deck and you a card from the other deck. The two cards match!
YOU NEED GLASSES (R. F. Price): Using two decks four selected cards are revealed in a very dramatic way!
IMPROMPTU CARD PREDICTION (Harry Stanley): A unique prediction using just a packet of cards!
OUT OF THE PAST (Walter Gibson): Five cards and one is MENTALLY chosen. You reveal that card. The trick can be repeated immediately. Regular cards are used!
