Everywhere & Nowhere by Dani DaOrtiz (Hofzinser Project Chapter 3) (English and Spanish)
This amazing effect features cards selected by audience members and multiple cards transforming into the selected cards and back again. This lesson features three versions of the effect and over ten techniques that will level up your magic.
Here is what the trick actually looks like:
1. The deck is offered to a spectator who selects three cards, which are set aside for later.
2. Three more cards are selected and lost in the deck.
3. One by one, the magician produces three aces, asking if any of them are the spectator’s cards. They are not, and are placed face down on the table.
4. The magician casts a shadow over the face down aces. One at a time, the spectators peek at the face-down aces, and impossibly, they have changed to the three selected cards.
5. The face-down cards on the table are turned face up once more and are discovered to have transformed back into the aces.
6. In an impossible kicker ending, the three cards set aside at the very beginning of the trick have transformed into the three selected cards.
You don’t just learn the effects, but also the sleights that Dani uses to create these miracles, and the deep thought that goes into making them feel so hands-off. He shares with you why he makes the choices in his construction of the effect, and the why behind all the actions the spectator takes. It’s not just all psychology; it is also technique! You’ll learn some fascinating ways to handle doubles, replace palmed cards on the deck, card switches, and more.
